The Aldingbourne Trust supports people with learning disabilities to reach their potential.
In 2013, they asked us to completely overhaul the design and structure of their website to create a modern site that could be updated and managed inhouse. The structure of the site was complex. Firstly, they needed to demonstrate the work they do with people with learning disabilities. Secondly, the Trust runs a Country Centre, a family-friendly open farm with woodland walks, cafe, garden centre and much more.
Given the diverse mix of people visiting the site, we thought hard about how to design a website that would appeal to all: the information architecture of the site was key. Also, it was clear to us that they would need a responsive site, ensuring it was mobile-friendly and adequately future-proof.
